About Mike Davis
Mike began playing piano at age seven growing up in Dublin, CA. Sports and music became his two passions. He has been playing keyboards for over 40 years as well as introducing and teaching hockey to children in the East Bay. On the music front, Mike was songwriting, recording and performing original music in the 80's and 90's as well playing various band's including the Zoo, Mojo and Born Every Minute.
Influenced by Credence Clearwater Revival, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Chicago, David Bowie and almost all 1970's soul, Mike's keyboard style is rhythmic, sparse and soulful. Mike takes full advantage of the awesome keyboard technology available today using a great keyboard rig consisting of a Yamaha Motif, Korg M3 and a Alesis solo synthesizer as well as other goodies. Mike says "to be able to play music is a gift and to share that gift publicly and provide in the enjoyment and entertainment for others is a musicians duty and an honor not to be taken lightly".
